Requiem – Mozart

The concert will open with the festive concert aria Exsultate Jubilate performed by soprano Olga Zinovieva. Thanks to her two-octave range and unique timbre, you can enjoy this spectacular aria.

Mozart's Krönungsmesse was limited to 30 minutes by the then archbishop. Partly because of this, the mass glows with vitality and energy. Mozart's Requiem became known to the general public through the film 'Amadeus' and is perhaps the most impressive work by this composer who died young. The Requiem evokes feelings of mourning, fear and sadness. But at the same time also hope, light and beauty.
