Following the successful diaries of Hendrik Groen, the author swaps the nursing home for an allotment garden and puts herself in the shoes of 68-year-old Emma Quaadvliegh.
Emma - a starring role for Doris Baaten - decides to move into a garden house at allotment association 'Rust en Vreugd' soon after her husband's death. That she doesn't have a green thumb doesn't matter, as a friendly motley group of fellow residents immediately come to her aid. Unfortunately, not all residents give her a warm welcome. And so she and her new friends bravely decide to take action!
The author of Hendrik Groen once again comically manages to put our society under a magnifying glass. With great humour and wit. Rust en Vreugd is a moving, recognisable and above all hilarious musical performance. For everyone who wants to live life to the full!
