Symphony of Magic - The Music of Harry Potter Live

Leave that to award-winning composers such as John Williams, Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper and Alexandre Desplat. In October, the best music from all Harry Potter films returns to Amsterdam and Arnhem!

The soundtracks of all eight Harry Potter films lend themselves perfectly to performance in a large orchestral cast. To this end, conductor Raymond Janssen is once again working with The International Symphony Orchestra from Lviv and the National Choir of Ukraine 'Dumka'.

From the very first note, this concerto is enchanting. Hedwig's Theme, the famous, twinkling melody that almost every Harry Potter movie starts with, instantly immerses you in his magical adventures. 

Hogwarts
J.K. Rowling's novels tell the story of sorcerer's apprentice Harry Potter and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. They study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main storyline is Harry's fight against Voldemort, who killed Harry's parents in an attempt to become immortal and dominate the wizarding community. Between 2001 and 2011, Rowling's books were made into films, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson.

Composers
John Williams composed the soundtrack of the first three Harry Potter films: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004). Williams is one of the greatest film music composers of all time and has written the music for Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, Star Wars, ET, Jaws and Schindler's List, among others. Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper and Alexandre Desplat composed the soundtrachs of the other five films.
